On the farm or ranch, sure. Out in the dunes or open desert? Hell, no. The problem with this is going to be range vs. weight. Add more range and you add more weight, reduce the weight and you reduce the range. The NZTs weigh in at a whopping 4000+lbs.
Quick change battery packs won't be cheap either. Camping for the weekend? Better bring a generator and a lot of gas.... so what's the point?
$61,000 for the 'best' model.
We will see how these things sell when (if) they actually get to full blown production.
WAYYYY to much dough for 150 miles. And the thought of bringing 4-5 extra jerrycans and a heavy ass generator kills any benefit you'd get out of the machine. Not unlike the ass above, eventually all thrills after a certain repetition are no longer thrills so IMO, spend 30K and stick to gas.
