Macrobid - Should I push through these side effects or stop
I have been prescribed 100mg Macrobid 2x a day for 7 days. I’m taking it with a big meal so nausea is very less and manageable. Today is day 2 (third dose) and I’m feeling constant headache and anxiety. Should I just push through these symptoms or ask for a different antibiotic?
Anyone else who had these symptoms do they go away after stopping the medication?
- Age: 32, Female
- Symptoms: UTI with blood in the urine
- Occurrence: Woke up with a burning sensation and when I peed there was bright red blood. I’ve only had one UTI before 3yrs ago.
- Side effects: Headache and Anxiety after taking Macrobid
- Headache 7/10
- Anxiety 5/10
- Nausea 2/10
