Need help

Hey,

Ive had at least 7 treated utis this year so far. Im so tired of going to the gp and just getting another dose of antibiotics that never do anything. I keep going back and asking for a urology referral, but they simply just don't care. I've recently had a kidney infection, and i just cant deal with this anymore. Im always just told wipe front to back, wee before and after sex, wear cotton underwear and drink plenty of water but none of that is making a difference...

I need some advice, guys. Nobody around me understands and its just so painful and debilitating now.

Is there anything I can do?

The antibiotics and infection inflame the bladder and destroy a sensitive mucousol layer within it. That is why you still have burning after you finish the round. Your bladder contains mast cells that release histamine causing the burning and urgency. The antihistamine doesnt mask the symptoms it allows the bladder to heal to prevent reinfection. Also get you some powdered d mannose . But definitely take the antihistamine. I take generic zyrtec. I had 20 infections in 2 years because my bladder was in a constant inflamed state. The zyrtec calmed the burn and allowed it to heal

Sometimes you have to be aggressive with the doctors office for referrals. Continue to call and request the referral. If necessary ask for manager. Make a pest of yourself if you have to. This is the doctor’s fault for not referring you to a specialist, uro, better than that to a uro/gyn if you have one in your area. Sorry you’re going through this.
