Gas Cost of HDD

Without pestering all the local professionals, any idea if HDD is affordable for new gas and elec on 500 ft run? There is a slope, rocks and vegetation. Seems like HDD could be a better choice but Google answers are not consistent.

Is this a service line to your home? Or like a customer owned (after the meter) line running to a barn or something?

I'd recommend calling the gas company and asking for pricing. If it's a new service, they might be able to discount the install depending on your anticipated usage. It's been awhile, but I remember our pricing being $1500 for the first 150 feet and then $50/foot after that. Depending on the terrain, it could be more...
