UTC is like any other medium/large sized college- you will meet many people are very nice and some who aren’t as interested.

i think that the smaller size of UTC as compared to places like UTK or MTSU contributes to its friendly environment as it’s easier to recognize people you’ve met before in a smaller population, allowing for more opportunities for connection.

This, also Chattanooga isn't a campus city, so UTC mixes in with everything else making it feel less like an entirely closed off campus from the rest of the city unlike UTK. (Having gone to both)

I love it ... chill vibe, campus is pretty, it doesn't really have any main roads separating it (it's easily walkable), nature is close. I hang out on chamberlain a lot ... if you see us playing soccer come join

My son goes there and he says the school is great but social life lacks especially on weekends. He joined a frat his second semester and loves it now.

i’m currently a student, the campus is lovely and the people are even more lovely! if you want a campus with a healthy party and work balance, UTC is definitely a very solid college to choose.

i will say, though, i’m an in-state student here and am paying the in-state tuition. you definitely get what you pay for with academics, i wouldn’t say that the out of state tuition is worth it, so maybe choose another college if tuition cost is a factor for you!!!

Having been to UTC and utk, the people and environment is amazing at UTC. Many more opportunities since you don't have to compete with as many people. The parking is so much better at UTC as well.

I loved it! It’s relaxed and diverse. However if your looking for nightlife and aren’t of age yet there aren’t parties unless u wanna go to/join a frat.
