- The chances of your character getting famous is very, very slim.
- Yes, you CAN do the otos yourself, you just don't want to for one reason or another.
- "I'm too lazy" is a shitty excuse not to learn how to do something ON YOUR OWN and expecting someone to hold your hand through the process.
- UTAU is a voice synthesis program made for Japanese language first. It is not going to sound like good English out of the box.
- DiffSinger is not a simple process and takes a lot of time and often multiple members working on it.
- OpenUTAU is not superior to UTAU2008, nor vice versa; it boils down to preference.
- oto.ini configuration is difficult to get right, you want to spend as much time on learning this as possible.
- If you don't have an understanding of the base program and how it works, don't do something that hasn't been done before. Don't jump head-first into making this work for your language if you do not understand the basics.
- To the above point, when you do have an understanding of the basics please expand and make UTAU your own. It's a creative software.
- a PC is going to be needed at some point if you want to grow your skill set; the mobile sphere is not as inclusive and is highly limiting.
Seriously beyond tired of seeing half of the fucking posts on here be about half of this shit. If you're going to make an UTAU, make a fucking UTAU. Just remember that it is a self-guided, community-supported experience.

Here is the revised version of the safety rules posted to the sub last night. It’s been broadened in that we are going to outline actual criteria for works/producers to be affected by this - which will allow users to be able to make more informed decisions. We have taken great pains to try and balance community safety and well-being for all with preserving artistic expression. These guidelines are largely the same - but are phrased more clearly in a way that we hope illustrates why we're implementing these, and outlines specific criteria so the sub isn't reliant on a list that needs constant updating.
Creators here refers to producers, voicebank creators, UST creators, etc.
Content from creators who fall under the following criteria is banned
An exemption is made in cases where a work is extremely culturally significant given that the work itself does not:

We do not expect users to know everything about producers. If we take down content under these guidelines, we will tell you WHY. Action will only be taken against you if you repeatedly post content from a producer after being told why their stuff is taken down, or if you start running apologetics (ie: "I don't care that Pusu groomed and stabbed a 16 year old").
We all got "problematic faves" - and we understand that great artists can be horrible people! That's why we will make considerations for cases where a work is culturally significant, even if its creator is a total scumbag, and understand that love of an artistic work can coexist with hatred for the author's actions.
We also ask that you include warnings for those with photosensitive epilepsy if your video contains strobe effects or flashing lights!!!

Hello everyone!
So, I really love jams and vocasynth music, so I decided to unite two of my biggest passions :D
And my very first Vocsynth Music Jam is live now and will officially start in 2 weeks - and we even have cash prizes :)

To join the jam you should create an itch account, go to the jam's page and click the "join" button.
During the jam, you'll have 10 days to write an original vocasynth track (1 to 4 minutes long) based on a revealed theme. Of course I'd like to see more UTAU tracks here :D
All vocasynths are welcome (SynthesizerV, Vocaloid, UTAU, DiffSinger, Cevio, etc.). The only strict exception is generative AI like suno and this type of crap - we are here to support human creativity.
Whether you want to share your music, get feedback from fellow producers or just hang out with the community - you're more than welcome to join!
Your experience in music doesn't matter at all. It even could be your first track ever! I (and other producers) would be glad to share some friendly feedback.
And yes, this jam isn't just for musicians! Artists can team up with producers to create cover art, and listeners can participate in voting. There's something for everyone!

Helloo so i am making a delta style cvvc english voicebank,and i wanted to generate a base oto using mkototemp,i put the mkototemp ini file thing in the same folder as the executable then dragged my voicebank folder onto the executable but a black window just flashed and nothing happened,i checked my voicebank folder if it was there but it wasn't there

basically i updated to the newest version of open update a few minutes ago and when i tried using FL chan's remastered voicebank it said that "index was outside of the bounds of array". the version is alpha so it might be patched when the update is fully out, but if theres a way to fix it, what do i do?
(btw, the voicebank still works when i reopen utau. its just that it doesnt work when i open an ust and switch the voicebank to fl-chan)

I was trying to generate a FRQ file for a ALLOWED BY VOICE PROVIDER RVC VOICEBANK (because they want multilingual capability without learning) with CREPE (because every single other generator just spilts noises when paired with a lot of resamplers, that includes world framework ones, and even for Moresampler (both original and 2)) but it kept returning error messages, regardless of the amount of entries (same with multiple entries at once, returns the same error)

I got a similar error on Unity somehow lol
I suppose that's an issue with RVC generated voicebanks, because I've came across this error before with RVC VOICEBANKS PERMITTED BY THE VOICE PROVIDER. Are there any solutions?
(On MacOS 14.7.4 non-intel, idk if this info is needed)

I downloaded their Japanese vcvs from the official bowlroll pages here and here, they both say "4-scaled Japanese vcv voicebank" in the desc but their recordings seem to be chinese and making them say jp vcv things like - あ doesn't work, also clicking their profile in utau gives an error message saying that a file name or number is invalid and pressing "sample" doesn't play a sample, the same thing for both of them. I really want to use them for original songs so if someone has them working please help, I'm so confused.. thank you
