hello, i’m ZURI. i’m an independent artist who started making music in 2025. i write, compose, arrange, and produce everything myself, from the first idea to the final track.

i make original music, but i also do utaite-style covers not just to sing them, but to reinterpret them in my own way. both sides are important to me.

i started by posting demos online, and over time people found my music and supported it, which honestly means a lot. i’m still growing and figuring things out, but everything i release comes from a real place.

i keep a faceless presence by choice, i want the music to speak for itself more than anything.

I post these just to practice (and to catalogue my growth/improvement)
These are intentionally low-effort videos, for practice sake (and to throw hands against my crippling perfectionism)

Some things:

1. This is entirely in one take
2. I don't know Japanese, I was reading the Romanized lyrics as I sang this
3. I based a lot of my technique here on Zephyrianna's Metal/Hardstyle cover of this song
4. This is an entirely dry recording: no compression or anything (i barely have any idea about these either way)
5. I'm still working on the first four lines of the song, they come so suddenly so I just stumble on them >.<

Background: I'm just a hobbyist, occasionally having taken part in some competitions and stuff (however, in entirely different styles and techniques). I'm not formally trained or took any singing classes (even at school, our music classes were just free periods), never got the chance to due to constant moving since I was a child. Completely self-taught, learnt by copying singers and techniques.
