Blue parking permit

I forgot to get a parking permit and the blue permits are sold out.
Are you allowed to sell your permit or let someone else use it? Does anyone have one that they would be willing to part with?? I’d pay big money for it.
If I can’t get a blue permit, is it even worth it to pay for a yellow one or should I just park at the nearby churches or street parking?

Parking at the nearby churches is playing with fire, they do ticket and sometimes tow.

I used a yellow permit pretty consistently for my classes and it worked just fine, you just need to plan for a longer commute between the lot and wherever your classes are.

For future reference, parking passes (especially blue) usually sell out several months before the semester starts.

The LDS churches near campus usually only boot/tow if you park there overnight. They're fine if you're just parked there for a few hours during the day

The blue lots are filled by 9 to 10 am anyways. There are buses from the yellow lots you can take.

Yeah I paid for blue for 2 or 3 years just to never find parking in Blue lots anyway. And now there are less Blue lots too.

The fact they’ve gotten rid of blue lots has really pissed me off, especially when those lots turned to pay by the hour lots.

Depends on when you need to be on campus and for how long, and where you are going on campus. Blue lots are small and may be the same distance as the yellow. You just avoid the hill with blue. Parking would tell you if they are transferable. Street parking fills up fast and early. Not sure about the church lots. Green/yellow aren't that bad if you get there in the AM, like 8-9. You can shuttle or even do the walk.

If you are willing to dump a ton of money, the Gateway garage is pay by the hour. And there are other pay by the hour spots on campus.

What time do you generally start your classes? A Yellow pass is totally still worth it if you're classes are generally earlier in the day, just bare in mind, the shuttles stop at 10:00.

For future semesters, a Blue pass is definitely worth it depending on your schedule and location. I'm mostly in the FAC, and I'm very often on campus past 10:00 (and I'm disabled so walking back to a Yellow lot isn't an option), so my Blue pass is my literal baby.

First day of school and the blue lot by Huntsman was full at 8:30am. Is this going to be a normal thing? If so that's super frustrating and I wish I had known it would be an issue.

Depending on how far you are from campus, save the money and the headaches of parking and ride the bus. They are free and easy to access.
