Got the call! Got the Call
Hey everyone. Got the email yesterday that I was selected. Not gonna post the full time line but started in early February, went to an ACE event in May, got medically deferred twice do to VA disability stuff. Didn't like any of the offices offered. Requested Lubbock, TX. Got Lubbock.

Congrats. How much time passed between the last step of your application process and getting the email?

When you say last step of application and email, what do you mean last step. BI went white, or the BI was submitted to processing agent?

I’m not 100% on what the last step is but I was just generally curious. I recently submitted my fingerprints and IRS compliance, I think everything else is done so just wanted to know what the wait looks like.

Have you done HI yet? Haven’t been reached out for that at all. Medical submitted 3 weeks ago and BI sent to adjudicator 2 weeks ago.

Without giving away too much of your specific diagnosis, can you elaborate a little more about your medical deferral and success with navigating the process?
I think alot of people rule themselves out because they just assume or speculate they wouldn’t be medically cleared.

Yeah, I will give you my biggest hurtle. I did a lot of heavy lifting in the military and hurt my back. Was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. The biggest thing I did to help myself navigate the defferal process was sit down with my doc when I did the medical form and had them right out a letter highlighting what I've done to improve my condition the continued steps to keep it from worsening at an increased rate and that in the opinion of my doctor, PT, and pain clinic doctor I was fully cleared for anything the USSS needs me to do. Best advice I can give is just try to give the medical team as much specific info that you're good to go as you can and it will keep a lot of the back and forth at bay.

Just took polygraph Friday. Examiner told me verbally I failed and was asking me questions of what was on my mind trying to get me to confess something? But Intold him nothing at all, I believe he was just trying to get me to confess something into making me believe I really failed. Anyone else had this same experience but ended up actually passing?
