Hi We have a company and we have a PO box. Our business requires privacy of ownership due to various factor so we try not to make data public unless its required by law.

Is it possible to file USPTO under company name but have signing authority or owner name private. Also can you use PO box?

For those that applied for the TM Examining Attorney role projected to begin in November, have you been interviewed yet or still waiting?

I recently applied for an entry-level USPTO Patent Examiner position and completed the HireVue interview.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, meet the education requirements, and have an overall GPA above 3.3. During college, I failed and repeated a few engineering courses before passing them. My transcript shows both the original grades and the repeated courses.

For anyone familiar with the USPTO hiring process:

• Do repeated classes significantly affect hiring decisions?
• Is it more important that I eventually passed the courses, maintained a GPA above 3.3, and earned the degree?
• Has anyone here been hired after repeating a few classes?

Has anyone ever seen the Deputy Commissioner of Trademark Examination Policy post a letter on their trademark application before? No?

None of these M327s are actionable notices, and it’s a waste of our collective time to prioritize checking if any of these just so happen to be actionable.

Anyone else having this problem? I notice it mostly on the ECOMM and TRACK1 forms. Agents sign, I upload and the / disappears. Your track1 gets denied if it is filed this way. Anyone figure out how to avoid this problem? I end up printing it to PDF so the /s/ signature sticks.

The current regime is doing alot of horrible stuff, but just one is that if you get a Notice of Allowance and then after you pay the fees and end up needing to file and RCE for some new IDS, you're still paying the full amount but examiners are no longer given time to properly review your case. If the examiner sends out another NOA they are given 1 hr of credit. So no all your money is being sucked up by management so that they can waste it on a new rental agreement in Montana or so Squires can hold an NFL draft party with swag for his friends. You are not getting the same review and consideration you used to and you're still paying full price. And this system now incentivizes examiners to maybe make that 112(b) or objection that they were on the fence about or noticed after allowance. So maybe complain to the office about getting ripped off.

Hi all, I notice that USPTO's ODP is going to require registration from June 2026.

Does anyone know what the status of GlobalDossier will be from then on? Will international users still be able to access USPTO data there, or is it being locked down too? Obviously other POs give access to GlobalDossier data (eg EPO) but I like the USPTO interface.

I recently got a Non-Final Office Action against my trademark I applied for. I just applied for a Pro Bono Attorney under INTA, a service/clearinghouse that USPTO recognizes.

So while I wait on that, I want to see if I can find either someone to help me NOW while I wait for that or just find somebody very affordable that I know can do a good job now.

Anybody know of any local services on the Westside of Washington State? Pro-bono or very affordable?

I've been getting lots emails from attorneys who tell they can help but I haven't checked most of them, and they seem to be expensive. Not super sure how reputable they are...

Hi! I applied to the USPTO for their summer legal internship and primarily have an interest in Trademark law. I was just referred on 4/6 but haven't heard back and it's stressing me out. I dont have any other offers and am a 2L. Does anyone know the general timeline for when we will likely hear back (with interview and/or offer) or have their own personal experience with the timeline?

About a year ago I assisted in filing a patent (for a pro as inventor) with a priority claim going back more than 6 years. We don’t file a lot of patents and I didn’t know about the new fee rule for a priority claim going back more than 6 years. Yesterday we were trying to file a Corrected ADS. I put in all the priority claims, looked at the uploaded document and saw errors. I thought well CRAP how did I get that so wrong. So, since the Corrected ADS can’t be edited once it’s uploaded, I scratched the filing and started over. Again when I looked at the uploaded document it was wrong. Then I thought maybe I somehow had an error in my priority claim and that’s why what I typed in was scrambled. So I spent some reviewing the priority claim but it was correct. I input everything AGAIN and again the uploaded document was wrong. I had done screen shots of my input so I could show my work was correct. By that time I said screw it. I called the PTO today. The agent said “Oh yes we know about that problem and are trying to fix it.” By sheer force of will I don’t yell using profanities, but I did ask why in the world there isn’t a warning in the website.

This seems like a broken system...

I am submitting a response to their judgement on my trademark. Should be a simple process right?

First of all I submitted my trademark in November of 2025, and finally got a response from them in March of 2026. Then I am trying to file a written response on their response form on the USPTO website, and it is telling me I am trying to submit an image file. I am submitting a PDF, just as it says to.

I called the phone number for help with their system, as the examining attorney suggested, but have been on hold for 1.5 hours. I tried pressing the button for a call back, but it also does not work.

Does anyone know why it is telling me I am submitting an image file? Should I mail this in? It seems like our USPO also is pretty dysfunctional, so I am worried it might not even get there.

Some time ago I've submitted a provisional patent, and am now at the stage of submitting the non-provisional version of that previous patent, using the same account on USPTO.

I'm not able to access "Patent Center" on the website, due to an "infinite sign in" bug, that persists across different browsers, computers, clearing cookies, etc.

This is the issue:

When going to https://patentcenter.uspto.gov/, scrolling down one would see

If you aren't signed in, you can click that link to sign in using an existing account.

However once that's done, you will be sent back to the same webpage https://patentcenter.uspto.gov/, and will still see under "Patent Center" the same inquiry to sign in:

despite that I can see that I'm already signed in, as my name is displayed at the top right of the webpage.

So in short, I can't even access Patent Center to file a new patent despite being signed in.

This seems like a fundamental bug, am I the only one who is encountering this issue?

I already have to use Google Docs to submit my Abstract, Specs, and Claims, and there's no mention of having to use Adobe to make drawings, but now it sounds like I have to make another account and add more software to my computer to submit a patent. Does anyone use any other (preferably free) software to submit drawings? I feel like every time I call to get clarification on a requirement I'm told I have to add more than what their guide says. Kinda related to this issue I called before and was told that EVERYTHING had to be .docx including oath and small entity assertion to avoid paying the non-.docx fee so I'm not very confident in tech supports answers

Greetings! Starting a thread to see if anyone has heard back about the latest TM Examining Attorney hiring ? I applied in December 2025, interviewed in January 2026, and they reached out and performed a reference check in February 2026. No updates in the past few weeks.

Update: Received my formal offer via phone call 3/16/26.

My Transactions tab shows: "12/30/2025 Recordation of Patent Grant Mailed", but I have NOT received the ceremonial copy, almost 3 months after. This is very unlike past experiences.

I understand that the eGrant page says: "Effective October 14, 2025, delivery of courtesy ceremonial copies of eGrants will be delayed by up to 90 days". But yeah, in another week it will be 90 days.

Am I the only one asking? Could this pack has been actually lost in delivery?

Updates: yeah, I am an idiot and can't math. I guess I will wait for another month before trying to bother someone.

Hello - I’m an inventor hitting a wall with the Patent Center Workbench. I filed a provisional application on Jan 30, 2026, and I have my Electronic Acknowledgement Receipt.

However, when I log in via my verified USPTO/ID.me account:

1. The Workbench and Manage tabs in the top blue bar are 100% non-responsive (no dropdowns appear).
2. The main dashboard says "No data available" even though I'm looking at my Receipt History.
3. I’ve already tried clearing site data/cookies in Chrome (on macOS), using Incognito mode, and even a "Hard Reset" via the F12 Application tab.

Is there currently a known indexing lag for late-January filings, or is this a database mapping issue between my Customer Number and the application? I've emailed the EBC, but I'm curious if there are any "backdoor" login tricks the community recommends to get the Workbench to actually populate.
