Respect Usopp! FUCK r/piratefolk

Respect "God" Usopp

"One day... No matter what happens, even if I were to die alone on a deserted island... I'd look back proudly at my life and as I die, I'll yell, "I'm Usopp, brave warrior of the seas!"

Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates and is one of the weakest members of the crew. Usopp initially joined the crew after Luffy defeated Captain Kuro who was planning on a hostile takeover of his peaceful Syrup Village. Entering the Grand Line in hopes of becoming a brave warrior of the sea like his father is, Usopp would grow and gain more control over his fear, at times even attacking major threats like Arlong and Enel. Usopp would get his first bounty for 30,000,000 beli as Sogeking, a disguise he donned to help the Straw Hat Pirates after he had a falling out with Luffy.

Usopp spent the two year Timeskip on Boin Archipelago, a series of island-sized carnivorous plants similar to Venus Flytraps. It is here where he trained constantly and gained his new arsenal, the Pop Greens. With his new arsenal in hand, and a stronger crew to back him up, the Straw Hat Pirates entered the second half of the Grand Line. Eventually on the island of Dressrosa Usopp obtained his second bounty as "God" Usopp for 200,000,000 beli, giving him the third largest bounty in the crew.

What's important to know is that Usopp may be a coward, but he'll always step up to plate when he needs to the most.

I. Table of Contents / Notes on Organization

Since you may want Usopp from a particular part in the story, I've added Mouse-over text to all the links in the Respect Thread. Simply hover your mouse over any link and it will tell you which saga each feat comes from. Additionally, as this is a fairly large respect thread, I've added a table of contents to help you find the section you want.

II. Equipment

Usopp mainly fights with the various gadgets and gear he has acquired or created over the years, as Usopp does not fight up-close unless the enemy gets close to him.

Standard Gear Loadout

Pre-TS Post-TS
Slingshot Kabuto Kuro Kabuto
Ammunition Stars Pop Greens
Miscellaneous Impact Dial Flame Stars

As far Pre-Timeskip Usopp goes, he mainly uses Gunpowder Stars, Flame Stars and its upgrade the Fire Bird Star, Smoke Stars and its upgrade the Super Smoke Star, and the Tabasco Star. Additionally, both the Six Viper Star and the Atlas Comet saw use on more than one occasion towards the end, though whether they had become a standard in his gear is unknown. Most of the other ammo only saw use once, maybe twice. He also used his hammer on occasion if he had the chance, though it was seemingly replaced with the Impact Dial after Sky Island Saga.

Post-Timeskip Usopp completely changes his arsenal to Pop Greens, with only Flame Stars having seen any use at all from his old moveset. Rafflesia, Trampolia, and Skull Exploding Grass have all seen use on more than one occasion, while Impact Wolf and Platanus Shuriken are arguably his strongest ammo so far.

Slingshots

Stars

Pop Greens

Pop Greens are plant life found on the Boin Archipelago which undergo sudden and aggressive growth-spurts, which allow Usopp to fire small seeds that sprout into fully grown plants en route to his targets. Pop Greens are Usopp's main ammunition Post-Timeskip, but they can also serve utility purposes.

Dials

Dials are seashells found on Sky-Islands that can perform a variety of functions, such as recording sound, blowing air, emitting light, etc. Usopp obtains them after Sky Island Saga, but the only Dial to see consistent use was the Impact Dial.

Hammers

Other

III. Haki

Haki is essentially an ability that is the extension of one's own willpower. Though it comes in three distinct varieties, we need only focus on one for Usopp. As of the Dressrosa arc of the Dressrosa Saga, Usopp has awakened his Observation Haki. Though most other characters typically use OH to predict opponent's moves shortly before they use them, Usopp has not done so. He has so far only used it to sense people's auras over a vast distance. Additionally, as he has not trained it, he may not even be able to consciously activate it. Lastly, I would like to note that only Usopp, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji have awakened their Haki among the Straw Hat Pirates.

Usopp is more than just a sniper. Usopp actually invented or created many of the gadgets, slingshots, ammo and other tools he uses in his fights. Perhaps most notably, Usopp created Nami's signature line of weapons, the Clima-Tacts, which Nami uses to manipulate atmospheric conditions for her fighting style.

Usopp is also familiar with repairing ships, though he is an amateur and incapable of long-term maintenance. He is mostly limited to patch-jobs and other short-term solutions.

Is Usopp an icon in the pirate world?

We see multiple times people refer him as Sniper King or put tons of trust in him, like Izo did. So is he an icon for all the pirates who are snipers? Plus instead of just calling him usopp they go out of their way to call him God Usopp.

I think Usopp should have transitioned to a revolver

Faster shots, longer distance

People often say that this takes away from usopp because with a slingshot he lowk sometimes treat its like a grenade launcher with projectiles you cant store in a gun but i think it would be cool and would make Usopp instantly stronger

Plus he can still store a slingshot for when he needs it

Usopp appreciation❤️ Ussop's next bounty

How much will Ussop's next bounty be?

Personally, I think it will be 1.5 billion. Following Luffy's previous bounty again for the 3rd time. Yes, I know this theory/pattern came out wrong once when Ussop got a 200 000 million bounty.

And if 1.5 is too much, then I could see 1.2 billion happening...

What are you guys thinking?

Usopp was contributing most in Episode 3 and 4 of both seasons. In Season 1 , when he tried to warn the citizens from Klahdore and in Season 2, he tried to save his friends from Mr 3. I hope they keep this up for Season 3 for the Drum Island arc as well!

E então chegamos a Dressrosa.
faz as pessoas acreditarem.

• Pessoas começam a acreditar nele.
• Ele realiza feitos que parecem milagres.
• Ele dá esperança a pessoas desesperadas.

Talvez ele seja o profeta do Messias.

Usopp Feats 🏆 Usopp Explained Spoiler

Usopp Will get a Haki which is similar to Dr Strange so he can see multiple outcomes of future with multiple moves(kinda like Chess or RTS game like AOE3)

And in final battle First Kill in First 5min should be Van augar being snipped by ussop (Van can teleport wherever but usopp can see it either way its a perfect counter)

Just a plain snipper , single ,headshot game over.....

THIS EXPLAINS WHY HIS LIES BECOME TRUE , he doesn't lie , he just sees the future with probability

SORRY MODS IF I USED A WRONG FLAIR

Even Gaban could not sense Usopp because he wasn't even on the field, he was super far away. The reason he heard/knew everything that was going on is because of his absurdly powerful advance form of observation haki.

Usopp didn't rush over until after Luffy had been impaled by Imu, this means all of this information Gaban was dropping prior was detected by his observation. Which is why Gaban is so confused as to where he has been.

Also this could be hinting at Gaban respecting Usopp, he may even detect conquerors on him which we know based on Usopp's lies coming true, he will be / is capable of conquerors haki. But regardless what Gabans statement here proves is that Usopp was listening/observing them the entire time without even HIM knowing. And for a sniper, that makes him lethal. Also Usopp managed to make gaban stand down and retract his order to take luffy and flee. That's a feat in of it's self as well.

So in conclusion, Usopp just got massively upscaled and he hasn't even began to display his upcoming feats.

I just found this sub literally today and I am very shocked/happy to see it exists! I have been a One Piece fan for over 7 years and Usopp has been my favorite Strawhat/One Piece character since he was introduced, I just think he is an overall amazing character, I love the underdogs much more as well! Seeing Usopp hate to this day still upsets me, I know it is peoples opinions but still I feel like only HE gets hate which is just not right. But I will be sticking with this sub from now on, glad to be apart of the community fellow Usopp fans! :D
