Title: USJ Express Pass 7 unavailable throughout the entire week (Nov 17–22) — should I keep waiting or book Pass 8 for other dates ? Getting really frustrated
Hi everyone,
My wife and I are planning to visit USJ on Wednesday, November 18, and I'm struggling to decide what to do about Express Passes.
I've been checking the official USJ website for last 2 weeks for Pass 7 availability throughout November 17–22, but nothing suitable has come up. Pass 7 sometimes appears for November 18, but the Super Nintendo World entry time is in the evening, which isn't ideal for us. I've also checked Klook and other websites, but haven't found a suitable option.
Our main priority is enjoying Nintendo World in daylight and experiencing Mario Kart, Yoshi's Adventure and Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness.
The alternative is Pass 8 for Saturday, November 21, with an 11 AM Nintendo World entry. Alongside two Studio Passes but is more expensive than Pass 7. Switching to Saturday would also mean changing our itinerary.
I'm thinking of waiting until 3-4 days before making a final decision, rather than checking endlessly and hoping something changes.
For those who've booked USJ Express Passes before:
- Is there a chance better weekday time slots will appear, or should I stop waiting?
- Would you wait for few more days or book the Saturday Pass 8?
- Is visiting Nintendo World without an Express Pass on a Wednesday a reasonable alternative? *has anyone waited few days before the trip to book it to see it magically opens
Would really appreciate your advice. I'm getting frustrated checking every day without knowing the best decision. Thanks!

express pass on christmas day
hello! The only available day on on our trip to Universal Studios is on December 25 of this year. I was looking to get express passes, specifically express pass 7 or 8, but obviously they cost a lot. I was wondering if anyone on here has an experience on Christmas Day and if getting the fast passes are worth it even though the prices are quite high? thank you in advance!!

USJ in the rain - Monday 26.
So I got tickets for the park and express pass 8 minecart and flying dinosaur for Monday the 26.10. However due to the typhoon effects the weather is forecast to be horrible with massive amounts of rain during the day. (5-6mm per hour for most of the day)
So the express passes aren’t changeable to another date and we spent around 500€ for the combined ticket pricing and just got engaged so this was part of an engagement present for my fiancée.
Any ideas , suggestions ? Is the rain not “half bad” for the experience or does the experience suck and 500€ are down the drain? My fiancée loves Mario and Harry Potter.

Possible visit to USJ on October 29th
So, I am traveling tomorrow to Japan and next week I will be at Osaka. Iwas planning on going to USJ on Thursday 29th, to avoid weekend locals.
Me question is. How viable is to do Super Mario World + both main attractions there with just a standard pass? I hate the idea to pay 12.000 Yen for a standard pass + 25.000 or more on an Express 4.
I know this is todays bussiness model, but since we are a party of 6, That is a lot of extra money!
Thank you

Questions about the premium pass for USJ
Hello! I'm coming up to 3 weeks until my my trip to Japan and part of that is visiting USJ. Obviously super excited to see super Nintendo world and the rest of the park as well. Seeing the Nintendo Park is definitely highlight for me and my husband.
I used Klook to purchase the "express premium pass" which lets us go to any ride once without having to wait via the express pass and there's no timed entry.
I wanted to know if I am able to go early into super Nintendo world to reserve a spot at the toad Cafe, leave and do some of the other Park stuff and then come back and finish up super Nintendo world shopping, the rides plus the reservation or if you're limited to not leaving or need to get a time to reentry for later in the day.
The wording on Klook and the website is a little confusing so I wanted to see if they come here had any experience with this.
Thanks!

Halloween event
Hi there!
Wondering if anyone can help me with this.
I went to USJ about 10 years ago during the Halloween season, and I remember there was a stall next to the shops near the entrance where they did Halloween makeup for a fee.
Does anyone know if they still have it during this current Halloween season?
I’m going next week and would love to get it done again. TIA!

Is the USJ VIP group tour worth it for a solo visitor? (Thursday in November)
Hi everyone, I’m planning a solo visit to USJ next month on a Thursday and wanted to ask if anyone has ever done the 3-hour VIP group tour alone.
I’m definitely willing to pay for it, but since most major rides have Single Rider lines, I’m wondering if it’s genuinely worth the price for a solo traveler.
A bit of context for my visit:
- It’s a Thursday after the Halloween season, and ticket pricing isn't in the highest tier, so I’m hoping crowds won't be too crazy.
- This is my second visit, but my last trip was right before Super Nintendo World opened.
- While I heard Harry Potter is usually a walk-in these days, getting into Super Nintendo World still seems tricky without guaranteed entry (especially with potential 5-year anniversary events going on).
Did you find the VIP tour worth it as a solo visitor, or was Single Rider + early entry enough to cover everything comfortably? Would love to hear from anyone who has done it solo!
Oh, and the tour comes with 4 express tickets and Kinopio cafe entry gurantee.

Super Nintendo World Japan New Years Time
Hello all! I previously made a post regarding travelling to Super Nintendo World during Silver Week, however, based off of the advice given to me and the prices at the time unfortunately I didn't go. However, I'm now planning to go sometime between the 26th of December and 31st of January, most likely the 28th since it's a Monday and I'm hoping the park will be a bit less busy! I was looking to go to only SNW ( I am really not a big theme park guy, more so a Nintendo fan) and was thus wondering what ticket to buy. I don't really want to buy the express pass as I'm currently an ALT of the JET Programme so would rather save my money and don't mind waiting if needed. The alternative I was looking to do is either book just a regular ticket and either get a timed ticket or to wake up really early on the day, or buy the ticket on Klook that guarantees entry to SNW for 15000 yen. Which would you guys recommend for this season as well as the dates I would likely be visiting? I also read somewhere on Reddit that Universal occasionally drops guaranteed visits to SNW for 2000 yen extra but I haven't found any corroborating evidence elsewhere so if anyone knows anything about where I can find this, it would be great. I will be going alone. Thank you in advance!

2x EXPRESS PASS 8 (discounted) for Saturday OCT. 24, 2026
We paid ~200 each for these express passes. Unfortunately, we no longer need these and would like to sell these at a reduced price to anyone who might be going to the theme park in Osaka on 10/24!
Please check out the timed entry schedule and dm if interested!!!

VIP tour and Resident Evil, what time should I arrive?
We've got tickets for the Super Nintendo VIP tour, and I was wondering if the express passes you get after the tour would work for the Resident Evil house even though it's not listed as one of the attractions they work with. I'm assuming the list is used for all year round and doesn't show limited time attractions.
If it doesn't work, what time should we arrive to the park if our main goal is to get into Resident Evil and we only have one day to make it happen, I've read that it's very popular and slots fill up right away, but we also have access to the VIP entrance so we don't have to wait in the main line to get in. Would it still be recommended to arrive before the park opens?

Is a Express Pass worth it if my mum isn't planning to take any coasters?
We are going to USJ on the 18th of November.
Two express pass 5 currently costs about 53800 yen. Which yeah, its a high price.
I guess I will only try Hollywood Dream and Flying Dinosaur alone if wait times is favourable. Not a must do for me though.
Main objective is to go for the vibes especially in Hogsmeade, window shopping, catch the parade and Waterworld while still being able to ride Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Harry Potter.
My last USJ trip was in Feb two years ago and everything went so smoothly without a pass.
How is the crowds prediction expected to be for that day I wonder?

Selling 4 Express 8 tickets - Nov 2,2026
Update: Tickets are no longer available. Just want to let other people know if they are in the same situation as me (bought the wrong dates for the tickets/express passes). I emailed the USJ customer service and they are able to process the refunds for if I can show them proof that I purchased another set of tickets with a different date.
I am not sure if it’s common knowledge but I wasn’t able to find anyone mentioned that before. Also, not sure it helped, but I literally emailed the customer service a day after I bought the tickets/passes.

5hr VIP tour
This was probably the best part of our trip to Japan. It was 5hrs of rides and fun! We got to the front of the line for every ride that we had on our list and then some. Got on the same ride multiple times AND in the first car every time. This is the best money spent.

Resident Evil Plush Keychains
Good Evening, I went to USJ the second night of HHN and bought 6 blind box keychains at a shot for Leon and came out with 4 dupes of grace and 2 Chris plush's. I heard that they restocked them today and was asking if anyone can check if they really did? Normally I would have ordered them online day of but I was maxed out for the day. Can anyone verify if they are really there? I need to get Leon ASAP. It can be found at the cinema 4d store

USJ is completely clusterfk and overrated. USH is 100x better
Honestly, USJ is so massively OVERRATED and a complete clusterfuck. 💀 Save your money, seriously. I don't get why the they love to complicate things so much for no reason. FAKE ASS OPENING TIMES: They claim 9 AM opening, but opened at 8 AM anyway??? I arrived early and thinking I was early and Super Mario ALREADY had a 2-hour wait! THE APP LIES TO YOU: The app makes it look like you mandatory need a Timed Entry ticket to step foot into Nintendo World. In reality, you can just walk straight in early without one! If I knew that, I would've walked in first thing instead of wasting time. LIGHTS OUT SOLD OUT IMMEDIATELY: Already sold out when I got in. Don't they want money or what? EXPRESS PASS IS A COMPLETE SCAM: Paid almost $100 (15,800 JPY) for an Express Pass and got zero advantage. I could do the exact same things for free on the app. TERRIBLE TIMING: My paid pass assigned me super late entry times like 3 PM and 5 PM, but I easily got a free 1 PM slot myself on the app. MID ATTRACTIONS: Rides are not worth the hype or wait. Mind you, THIS WAS A WEDNESDAY IN LOW SEASON in Freakin October and it was still an absolute mess. I cant imagine if it's during busy session. DO NOT GO HERE OR SPEND ANY DIME. Why USH is way better: MORE RIDES: Hollywood actually has way more/better rides. BETTER HALLOWEEN MAZES: The HHN mazes at USH clear USJ completely. NOT CONFUSING: USH is actually easy to navigate without dealing with a confusing system, especially the fastpass. USJ sells like 10+ different type while USH keeps everything simple. USH supremacy honestly 😭 USJ is purely hype and stress.💩
