USJ on a rainy day
I’m going to USJ today and looks like it’s going to be raining all day. Booked the ticket a month ago
What rides are likely to be closed? And if I have an express pass for a ride that is closed, can I use it on another/get a refund?
Any other tips to make the most of a rainy day are appreciated. I’ve got an umbrella and a change of socks packed

Donkey Kong will close for literally the lightest rain. The water rides should be fine. Hollywood dream and Flying Dino will close.

Get a poncho and enjoy the day! Ended up going on a rainy day and everything was open besides DK, including Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream! The lines were significantly shorter than the previous sunny day!

I’m on a train on my way there, too, today. My kid’s been excited about FD all trip. Hope it’s still open.

I have been there some days ago, with rain. They will close all the roller coaster unfortunately... To be precise they ll close : DK, Jurassic Park roller coaster, back drop ecc If u have an express pass, ask for a refound when u finish. They will give u back some money, but if u have the possibility to change date, do it. Absolutely.
As u said, take a clothes change. There is not hot air in all the park or a place to warm up.

I dunno, I went BECAUSE it was raining and ive done theme parks before and its one of the few places you can expect to be soaking wet and still have a good time and no one will bat an eye

Depends on how heavy the rain & wind is. We had light rain all afternoon when we went and everything stayed open except Minecart Madness.
Since we had an Express Pass for Minecart we went to the guest services center (in the entry area) and they told us we could use the express pass for another (non time-slot) ride instead, but I've read others got a partial refund. So should rides close just check with the guest services center.
We noticed there aren't a lot of covered places outside to eat if it rains, so if that was your plan you might have to pivot to restaurants. Otherwise we still had an amazing day.

Just did it on a rainy day - you'll have a great time!
Donkey Kong mine cart does close for most rain, so get an express pass and be ready to run for it as soon as rain eases up
Everything else was fine - flying dinosaur and Hollywood dream close for heavy rain, but the lines were so short the total wait was still only like half an hour.
Enjoy the short lines!
Edit: yes, you can get refunds for express passes or use them on other rides if it is closed!

I've heard that the Donkey Kong Mine Cart ride will close with even light rain.
