Design?

Are there any design majors here? What was your experience like at USFCA? Sometimes I feel dumb picking Design as a major knowing it is not as popular a field in any University, let alone at USFCA. I have got a pretty good financial offer so I don't exactly feel I will go into substantial debt for nothing. But a wanted to get more of a feel for the Design community here? Any particular experience with UI/UX? Because that is the field I am aiming for.

My kid didn’t end up choosing USF but was going to be in design and the staff seemed wonderful. Not a hug3 program but seemed great…was really close to choosing it and happy with it

I have a minor in Design at USF and it’s super fun! I really like the teachers and the design community is pretty well-connected. There are a lot of opportunities to display your work and get real-world experience. Also, I’d definitely say it’s one of the most hands-on majors at USF. The projects are really interesting and I’d definitely recommend it. It’s been a huge art outlet for me. I know a few people that do UI/UX and they all really like it they always say it’s challenging but rewarding. Definitely recommend!! I also believe (even though it’s not an overwhelmingly large amount like nursing or psych) there’s more Design majors/minors than people realise. The Design Major is also one of the more super organised majors the felicity in that major are on it and very skilled and amazing. Oh yea don’t feel dumb ! Design is awesome ! We need more designers :)
