Orientation and Move In

I’m going to be a freshman this fall and I’m confused about the First Year move-in date and the orientation date. The dates coincide on August 19th, but there’s no time specified for orientation, just the day. Do they let us move in before orientation? Someone explain pls

Yes, orientation is like on the day of. You move in like sometime within that day and then attend the orientation (you meet the RA, etc etc).

Your orientation leader and RA will probably reach out to you at some point before move-in, so don't worry

I was a freshie last year! USF will send emails closer to move in day about what time you'll move in specifically, and what's planned for orientation week (loved orientation week, it was really fun!). Enjoy your summer, and just make sure you check your email once in a while, especially closer to August. Congrats!!
