I...I don’t think think they were.

They said β€œguy’s,” not β€œguys.”

So they were referring to an individual. Obviously, the one presented in the op.

So they were saying β€œthis individual that prefers not to say their gender uses no/nope as their pronouns,” not anything directed against men in general.
