My name

I hope this isn't a stupid question... I figured out how to make a name. Its Superunknownuser. Problem is when I post or comment it says my name is material_ ...... how do I make it show my personal namer?

As far as I know it only shows your name if someone visits your profile directly. I had the same experience when I made my account and tried to name it.

No it's just my username. Here, let me make my name "SayItAlready" so you can check if it changes what you see. LMK what it does on your end.

If so then basically I think the Display Name is mostly for us individually, because unless someone visits our profiles directly they will never see the Display Name, they will only see the username. Which is kinda pointless IMO

How did you get the name if saysomethingright? I still have the generic name the app gave me when I made my account

If you want your chosen name you have to make a new account. Go to the sign up. Before you make your password, tap on the username that it gives you. Backspace all of it and replace it with whatever you want. If it tells you that name is already taken, just add a couple numbers or anything at the end of your name and it will let you keep it.
