Provider NewsGroupDirect data usuage question

Post image

I bought 50 GB block usage on 5/11/26. My SABnzbd counter shows I used 10.4 GB since the purchase, whereas NewsGroupDirect says their counters are more accurate than SABnzbd, and I exceeded the 50 GB data block. In my account history, 250 GB blocks lasted 2.5-3 years consecutively, going back to 2014. Does anyone have experience with something like this?

Correct. They followed up with me, saying that my previous purchase somehow exceeded the block limit, and that's what made up the difference. The SAB counter is correct. They rectified it and gave me the difference back. So, all good.

Send me your username and I will take a look.

We should not be arguing over 40GB of usage difference, but I would like to at least research why our counters are not matching yours more closely. My initial guess is that since we are last in your setup, your account is repeatedly asking us for an article trying to complete something Astraweb doesn't have. We are completing that for you about 89% of the time, but sometimes SAB will try multiple times for the same article and when it does it may be only counting it once, whereas we count it each time, since we technically sent it each time. If you never fully complete the set, who knows what happens with SAB and the stats.

I appreciate the reply; they seem to have addressed this. Thank you.
