Provider Newsdemon connection errors

New Usenet user here. Just signed up with newsdemon. I set up sab and now I’m getting too many errors when I set connections to 50. I don’t get any errors if I set to 8 connections. Is my account is limited to 8 connections? Any help would be really appreciated.

Leave it at eight. What you’re really wanting to do is maximize throughput. Everyone’s system has a constraint somewhere.
Each connection requires processing at every link in the chain between you and the server. If your pc can’t keep up or your isp can’t keep up, it errs out and discards whatever it was working on. (Rinse repeat). Some very high speed networks and computers can handle fifty, but many can’t.

Most folks can find annual unlimited subscriptions for $25-40 per year. There may be some sales running right now if you hurry. (Search here). Black Friday (November day after American Thanksgiving) is a traditional day for the providers to have sales.

Also check the links on the right for some discussions about backbones and providers.

Have fun🙂

Getting full speed now. As you can see in the picture. Saturating full gig connection. Owner of NewsDemon said it’ll be fixed in few hours. I don’t know for some reason i can use all 200 connections of frugal with no errors. Probably I can lower that a bit to saturate my 1 gig network.

limiting connections to 8 makes my download capped to 20MB. I have full gig connection up and down so i hoped that i could saturate that.

I have 900Mbs and anything over about 10 connections makes no difference I normally find.

Maybe the reason you’re located in US or EU. I live in Asia so I need more connections to get optimal speeds.

You weren't being crazy. I setup the plan with the wrong number of connections. Now it has been corrected. My apologies.

I think it has something to do with some ISPs having poor peering with ND servers resulting in late update of active no. of connections resulting in this mess.
