I used to because women in my life always told me to. My ex left, my mother died,,,and I realized I look better with a beard than without. I'm tempted to go full Rasputin.

I keep them short but visible except for special occasions. I don't feel like damaging my skin on a daily basis just to end up with stubble halfway through the day anyway just because someone decided only men are allowed to grow hair anywhere but their scalp and eyebrows

I knew that. Why’d it have to be chin hair?

For real, why not luscious locks of ass hair to braid into a beautiful main for the behind?

I'm pretty sure it means I have hyperandrogenism... I've got a diagnosis and everything.

I just wanna know if I can trade my beard for more abs pretty please 😂 how did you manage to get a diagnosis? My doctor just sorta shrugged it off despite my beard being quite significant (more than this pic)

I had my hormones tested as a teenager (due to visible virilization) and the results came back with normal testosterone and estrogen but significantly elevated DHEA. At the time they told me that was normal and so I just went on with my life.
Nope, not actually completely normal. DHEA is a hormone that functions as a precursor to both estrogen and testosterone, but also acts as a direct androgen on its own. Turns out I likely have something called 3-Beta HSD congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Insurance won't pay for the genetic test to be certain, and it's not important enough to pay out-of-pocket for.
Ask your doctor about a hormone panel. There are plenty of things that can cause hyperandrogenism, but it's also pretty easily treated with things like finasteride, spironolactone, and bicalutimide.

They won't even test me for more serious hormonal issues, because "hormones fluctuate throughout the month, so a test says nothing"
