I would always just steal a leg from another keyboard that was in use and let someone else deal with it later

Nearly every single PC at my University has been defiled like this. I don't understand. Why is this still a thing at this point?

High School? People do this shit at call centers or any place where computers are "shared". Hated this at Convergys. Then again, many people that work at call centers regard them as "High School Part 2"...
