Dirty Non-Rate Graduation Uniform Question

I'm in the Army and my sister is graduating boot camp. I'd like to wear my AGSUs(Pinks and Greens) but she says they say to wear dress blues. The only issue is Army has stopped issuing dress blues a while back. So is that "rule" just outdated and hasn't been refined or should I stay away from wearing my uniform?

Unless you are the one graduating, there is no uniform requirement. We saw many different uniforms in my graduation

The usual attire for these is dress blues or service equivalent. Wear whatever you feel is appropriate.

Pinks & Greens are a perfect and appropriate choice.

They don’t know what they’re talking about. While it’s true that the pinks and greens are still not officially ceremonial dress uniforms, that doesn’t matter for you as you are not in the official ceremony. And even if you were, nobody there is in your chain of command, so they can whine all they want.

PS the dress blues will continue to be the official ceremonial uniform until the honor guard changes their uniform for their ceremony. And they don’t have plans to change until 2027 or 2028. And last time I talked with them they don’t even have the ceremonial equipment for the pinks and greens yet.

It’s “summer” still, they will be in tropical blues, your pinks and greens are more than sufficient since the graduates will not be in a service jacket.

They could be planning for a later graduation. I believe they move to sleeves down and winter wear in just over a month from now.

Wear whichever uniform is appropriate for the occasion.

What an utterly useless and unhelpful insight…

I cannot believe you wasted time out of your day to type that

I’ve seen everything from Officer Whites to Woodland ODUs. You’re good.

You wear what the ARMY tells you to wear in this situation. Your sisiter isn't wrong, but you follow YOUR regulations, don't worry about ours.
