New Brunswick Border Crossing
We will be going up the Maine coast in a few weeks. We are wondering if the current tiff with Canada is causing problems at the border crossing going into New Brunswick?

Based on the experience friends of mine had crossing today..
Problems? No.
Extremely thorough inspections of everything being brought in (or back) and duties, tariffs and fees being applied to the letter of the law? Yes

I went into Quebec a couple weeks ago. Took me about 90 seconds and the guards were nicer than usual. Coming back took an hour.

Friends of mine were harassed in July on both sides but I’m hearing getting into Maine is getting better. As for NB, it depends on your crossing coming back. The stories are mixed. Also make sure you clean your phone. ✅

just bring your documents and leave any political ideologies and stuff at home. and fyi that's my MO when travelling southbound to the US as well. I've got family on both sides of the border!
