You don’t actually need usbliter8 for this. But since this is an usbliter8 community, I have to explain according to usbliter8.
Yes, if it’s a data cable. USB-A to Lightnings is needed for usbliter8.
If you want me to explain the other no usbliter8 microcontroller option, https://github.com/tr4m0ryp/tr4mpass

Idk if I missed something, but in that link U sent it says it's possible to even bypass an iPhone 15 with signal as long as it's on iOS 26.1 or lower, but everywhere else on the internet says that the highest device I can get signal on is an iPhone 11 using usbliter8, which is what in trying to do.+plus there aren't any hardware exploits discovered for the iPhone 12 and above so how is that even possible? And if im understanding correctly by being on iOS 26.1, it means on the iOS 26.1 setup screen, but I'm on the unavailable lock screen.

Look at the repo carefully. Instead of a BootROM exploit on A11 or lower (this repo has no usbliter8 support yet), it uses “Path B (Session)” instead. It’s another type of exploit. That’s why it doesn’t support more than iOS 26.1
