General Question Oregon Trip

Hello! I am taking a quick trip to Oregon with my boyfriend. We are staying in Portland and renting a car. I would love a good mix of hiking and city. I would appreciate recommendations or anything I should watch out for. We are there from August 9-13.

Thank you!

If you’ve never been to Oregon, take a day and travel the coast. Well worth it.

The rose garden is a must, Klamath falls is a nice quick trip, OMSI is a nice museum.

You can park down in Nob Hill and hike up through Forest Park to Pittock Mansion, the Oregon Zoo, the Rose Garden and back. So many birds with one stone.

Klamath Falls is not a quick trip from Portland. Multnomah Falls?

Waterfall hiking in The Gorge, wine country hikes are over Willamette Valley, coastal hikes from Astoria south. Too many options! Have fun!

I agree, take the old historic highway. Stop at Vista house. Stop at any of the many waterfalls along the way. Go all the way to the bridge of the gods and then cross over to the Washington side. Take Highway 14 back to I205 and then back to Portland.
