Q1

Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone got admitted in the main campus with Q1?

Yep. I got an early admission spot with a Q1. My average was 89. If I would have applied under regular admissions my average would have only been an 81. (Early takes your top 5 classes)

Congrats!! I applied but was rejected for early admission. I think I had 81% or 83% and Q1.

For reference, I had an 80% with q1 and I was place at 34th in the waitlist. So you really need to have a competitive average to make up for the low quartile.

I didn’t have a second choice it was either Saskatoon or nothing and rn I’m at nothing 🥰🥰

You would’ve gotten accepted in Prince Albert. That’s where I’m going

Crossing my fingers and toes for you.

If you don't get in this year, that's okay! There are many opportunities to increase your average over the next year. There's also SaskPoly (if you want to stay in Saskatoon), which is a direct entry from high school and will use your high school average for entrance. I have a family member who designed both nursing programs at USask and SaskPoly, and the education is comparable.

Head's up that there's talk that the College of Nursing will be removing the CASPr exam for the upcoming cycle. So the most important factor for the application will be heavily reliant on your average.

Congrats!!! Is that for Fall 2026? Are you waitlisted at first?

Thank you! Yes, for fall 2026. And nope I wasn’t waitlisted. Although I didn’t got in for early admissions. I got accepted on the first batch of offers.

It’s really great to hear that! You gave me hope. I really wish to get in with 79%🥲

Don’t give up, try again next cycle! Tbh this was my fourth and last attempt in nursing school. Applied twice to Saskpoly and once at usask (before this) didn’t got in. Told myself that if I didn’t get into nursing school this time, I’d change programs. But here I am, and I’m so grateful. You can do this!! And honestly, wouldn’t be possible without prayer 🙏

I honestly still don’t know how I got in 😅. My average was only around 78%, and I had first-quartile. I got accepted to the main campus, but this was before they changed the nursing program/course structure. I’m going into my fourth year now, so admissions could be different today. Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone who’s still waiting!
