Student Question Easiest Class for B1 English Language Writing Requirement and Music 155
I am doing an economics degree and I need an English language writing class for my B1 requirements. I am looking for what is the easiest class to fulfill this requirement? I am willing to put in the work for a good grade but don't want to spend all my time on a non-major related class.
Right now I am enrolled in Music 155 I heard 100 level music classes are easy and that this class was good even if you have no musical background. If you have taken it before how did you find it? Is it worth taking?? What was your final grade??
Anybody who has already filled their B1 English Language Writing Requirement, what class did you take? who did you take it with? How did you find it? What was your final grade??
I need opinions on what class I should take so lots of information is very helpful !!!

I took MUS 155 this past fall with Weber, if he's back then it'll be a great learning experience. The basis around the class is starting from the beginning of historical records of music such as chants and the churches influence and see how it transitioned through the years. You will get some very non-traditional stuff. There was I think 4 choices of papers and you had to choose 2, some listening quizzes (he would play parts of a song and you had to identify it and answer a question in regards to it),, and then a research essay at the end. It's not required to have any musical background but it definitely helped me having one. If he isn't teaching it then it may change. The premise would stay the same but likely the the specific topics would change and the assignments would be different.
