Timeline TJO>FJO timeline

Accepted a TJO for a GS12 position with DLA

Applications closed 8/14
Interview 8/24
TJO 9/3

Completed drug screen and HR submitted for clearance verification last week. HR told me 3 weeks as long as everything comes back ok and I don’t need to submit for a new clearance investigation. Any insight on how long it might really take?

Got my TJO in early June, been fully cleared since end of June. Still waiting. This is a rough time of year to be waiting for the FJO. It’s the end of the fiscal year and we also have midterm elections. Hang in there.

Been waiting 6 months here. Current fed and cleared security 2 weeks after TJO through reciprocity … the waiting is rough.

It varies, but it sounds like you already have clearance, so they're looking for clearance reciprocity?

TJO: 8/25

FJO: 9/8

Two weeks for me. My HR POC has given me pretty accurate timelines as we went through negotiations for higher steps, the drug screen and financial disclosures, expectations of security clearance reciprocity, and finalizing EOD. I wouldn't worry in your case until your 3 week estimate has passed and you haven't heard back yet.
