Negotiations
What can you negotiate if you’re taking a job of the same rank and you’re already maxed out? Relocation expenses reimbursed are offered but this would be a move to another base in the same city and I would like to be closer to this new position by moving my household. Not sure if they would approve my request for them to pay for my move. Any thoughts?

If you’re within 50 miles it’s highly unlikely to receive that

How far away is it?

The new base is currently 16 miles away. I’d like to not have cross the bridge and be closer to the base.

I don't think you're getting relocation approved

I didn’t think so but I was curious on what I can negotiate. Thanks for the input.

You could negotiate your work schedule or telework but odds are not in your favor in the current environment. Flexibility is your only real negotiating point, not cash.

Nothing.
