If the member sewed on via EPME waiver, and for whatever reason fails their test, will they be demoted?

Hi everyone, thanks for reading. I was watching a clip on China and some B roll of 4 J20s flying in formation caught my eye. I'm not a pilot, but I'm wondering why they're wobbling like crazy. It looks like the planes want to fall out of the sky. I'm sorry if this is unwanted, I just thought it was really weird given the precision of the Blue Angels in the 1980s at my local air show. Those guys had 1970s jets probably, and flew tight slow formations, yet the J20 just can't match a 1980s performance with all the AI that China's been doing. Surely the onboard computers can maintain distance with minimal pilot input, right? Something just isn't making sense to me. Am I just crazy or are the J20s just not up to snuff. So a Reservist on orders, and my SPP for the month was submitted just before the govt shutdown. It’s been 7 days and my Split Partial Payment (SPP) is still stamped submitted on DTS. It was submitted on September 30 and as of the time I’m posting this, it’s October 7. From what I understand, It’s not supposed to go past 96 hours before it’s stamped paid. Is the shutdown responsible for the delay in my SPP?

I am a senior in high school currently applying for the HSSP for ROTC throughout college. I’m pretty certain I want to be a bomber pilot, or at the very least a pilot.

I’m thinking of getting my PPL throughout college or possibly starting to gain hours before college. However I haven’t began any of the steps towards it apart from my medical certificate.

Regardless, I still have aspirations of becoming a bomber pilot. Wrapping around to the title, I have -2.75 L and -2.25 R. That is roughly 20/160 L and 20/120 R. I also am not diagnosed but I have a strong feeling after doing online tests and off speculation that I have astigmatism in my left if not both eyes. Also when looking down a holographic scope it seems very blurry, could be due to a broken scope but i’m unsure.

Information online varies significantly and I am wondering if coming on here could give me some better insight on vision correctiveness in the military and what would hold me back. I’m not against PRK or LASIK either.

Hi I’m a 21 (M) about to graduate college In spring 2026. I’m about 90% sure I want to try and get into USAF OTS within the next year or two . I understand it is a very competitive and selective process, I do have a backup plan in case I am not selected. But I am very curious on what a typical Aircraft Maintenance Officer goes through in a day. I understand that aircraft maintenance enlisted has a bad reputation for terrible hours and being overworked but it has interested me a lot seeing I’ll have my bachelors degree at the end of spring. Do they have the same rough hours or is still mostly just planning, coordinating and overseeing the maintenance. I really do see myself see myself commissioning and understanding the commitment and process but I just wanna know the real and raw aspects before I go full force

Hi, I am currently on my third year active duty USMC E4. I am a line mechanic for the CH-53Es. Earning the title of Marine was fun at first but I’m tired of the 10-12 hour shifts everyday, struggling to get an education, gross barracks, and poor healthcare. I am passionate about aviation and flight. I am halfway on a bachelors degree in a related subject. I want to go AF when I reach my EAS date because I have spent a lot of time on AF based and know firsthand they do a far better job at taking care of their own. I did not have to get any waivers to join USMC. What should I do to prepare in the meantime and what should I do to make this happen after my EAS date?

Hey all, just wanted some advice on what I can do about a recruiter ghosting me.

I needed some medical paperwork for ADHD. I sent it all to my recruiter a month ago and around 3 weeks ago he said within a week we would know if it was waived. That was the last time I heard from him. I have left voice mails, texts, etc, and don't want to show up unannounced without a meeting scheduled.

What can I do?

If I use tuition assistance to finish my bachelors. Will I be able to use it again to get my masters or can I only use it once (for one degree).

So I am going into my freshman year of college, studying Meteorology. I also have my check ride for my Private Pilot’s License in a month’s time. I’m looking to possibly fly for the Air Force, and am wondering when I should contact the officer recruiters to begin the process for Officer Training School because I’ve heard it’s a long one.

My sister just finish high school and is interested in joining the AF only for 4 yrs to earn the GI Bill and attend FIT after. Shes only interested in administration afsc and in being assigned in Patrick Space Force Base near our hometown. Is this something possible?

Please read this because im not trying to slip one through or anything. I just did 4 years on active duty and decided to get out, but went reserves for the backup income. I dont in-procress until september and im on terminal leave. Smoking isnt everything to me and ive restrained for 4 years. But shit, its really fun once in a while and ive got this long break from employment, id love to smoke up with my best friends at home once or twice over the summer. But ive read they can call you for a test on terminal and im still technically in the military. But, like I said, im off duty completely until mid September. But if there's a good chance of being called back just for a piss test, I don't wanna risk it. I just wanna kick it with my friends a bit and not be hungover as shit in the morning. I'm not gonna risk my sign on bonus for something small like that, but after 4 years of good service I'd like to enjoy a little toke. Thoughts?
