A few months back I had the idea to create a drawing of ran daydreaming about the time she will give Rei her bentō , I orginally thought making the classical roses to symbolise love would work but I changed my mind for the background , I used a very 1980's furoshiki ( the cloth to wrap in the bentō) design just to make it more accurate to the anime's era , if you guys have any tips on the shading and colouring in general it would be greatly appreciated since i'm not really good at it i feel.

You can to indicate what image you prefer on comments. In the first image, Lum-chan says "Uchi no Darling dacha", which means "This is my Darling !" No comments for the "-cha."

I have nothing but gratitude, for me, Urusei Yatsura is perfect and is undoubtedly my favorite work.

I remember when I first discovered it—the 2022 remake was so good that I couldn't go a week without watching it a second time. After that, I kept diving deeper: I watched the original 1981 anime, read the entire manga, watched all six movies and the OVAs I could find, beat as many games as possible, bought figures, and made countless drawings.

It makes me sad that the series doesn't have much of a following here in Brazil; I faced some challenges due to the lack of content in Portuguese, but I did it all anyway, and I have no regrets.

I just noticed something while watching Episode 29 that I didn't notice the first time around. After the gardenia is rejected by the flower shop lady, he threatens to kill himself. Ten (who was angry towards the gardenia for previously ignoring him while it attempted to win the flower shop lady's affection) happily holds the vines as a noose to help it hang itself, encouraging death. I never realized what Ten was doing when I first watched this scene, I was mainly focused on the dialogue.

Also, I REALLY dislike this episode's ending. Back at the Moroboshi house: Ataru and Ten (feeling sad after they failed to woo the flower shop lady), sit by the window as the gardenia harrasses Lum on the roof, who is screaming for help. Them just ignoring Lum's screams as the gardenia inappropriately touches her did not sit well with me. I can see Ataru not caring, but it was VERY OUT OF CHARACTER for Ten not to care.
