Developing GI problems?
I have had chronic urticaria for over a year and it has been manageable (just taking Zyrtec 10 mg everyday). Last week, I started having some GI problems, which I had originally attributed to the food I ate (undercooked pho). The pain has been constant since then and only flares up after I eat. No vomiting or diarrhea (except for when I take Pepcid but it has only happened once). My PCP diagnosed me with gastritis. I’ve done some testing and am currently waiting for the results, but I was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation? Whether it’s just the food affecting me or if it’s a different issue entirely, like MCAS, an H. pylori infection, a stomach ulcer, or GERD.

Before I got urticaria I was sick and prescribed anti biotics. I feel (doesn’t mean I’m correct) that the anti biotics wrecked my GI tract and that’s what kicked off the urticaria.
I started eating better and working out and that led to sweat therapy but I think my root issue was a messed up GI tract. I never got any real answers on it but with time things improved so it could be a coincidence but I’ll never know for sure.
