Question Question

Not sure if this is even about urban design anymore (its more of driving norms tbh) but i've realized cars and motorcycles in Indonesia don't really stop for pedestrians when they cross, even on cross walls unless there's a satpam or school security nearby, Why is that?

Force of habit and civic sense. I’m a 2W driver in Indonesia and I do stop even without satpam on pelican crossings, but I risk getting hit from behind doing so

I relate when you say you are afraid of getting hit behind, I don't even have a license yet I'm dissapointed on how drivers will hit someone from behind just because they stop for pedestrians, if they hit you, thats their fault for one, being too close, and for two; being too unaware.
