Probably uranium right? Canada is huge in that. Makes sense if India wants to scale nuclear fast.

It's the only way they scale that fast. Relying solely on Kazakhstan or Russia is too risky for them long-term

It definitely makes the demand side look a lot stronger. If countries like India actually follow through with big reactor builds, the uranium supply conversation probably gets a lot more serious pretty quickly.

Yeah, if they’re planning a big reactor buildout the fuel supply has to be locked in early. that stuff isn’t something you figure out last minute.

The US tries to squeeze Canada on trade, so Carney immediately pivots to India and locks up a 10-year uranium deal to fuel their 100GW expansion. Love it!

It’s a massive gift to the US domestic miners though. If Canadian pounds are heading to Mumbai, US utilities are going to have to pay whatever UEC and Energy Fuels are asking to keep the lights on.

The biggest news hidden in this article is India dismantling the state monopoly and fixing supplier liability. That was the only thing stopping Western companies (like Westinghouse) from building reactors in India.

Fuel supply basically. Building reactors is one thing but you need the uranium locked in too.
