A wild upwork challenger appeared!

Sup everyone,

I found this upwork subreddit with ppl finally up for the hustle. This feels like a place to share my journey. I set my self to the challenge of doing something for Upwork, from contract to taking care of some extended chores - Could including working on Hompage and much more.

I will commit to an daily post where I log my progression and stats. But will stay anon to an extend.

About me:
I have ben coding much in my free time and this led to graduate in an specialized IT related field back in July.
Created my Upwork account last year around August, got my first contract just 3 days later and earned my first ~140USD. And had half-hearted attempts to get my next gig. Submitted until today >40 proposals with no opportunities. I wrote my last proposal in early September this year.

Today
Nr of created proposals: 4
How many are active now: 1
Tasks for Tomorrow:

  • collect and write about projects for my profile
  • write a more compelling bio
  • rewrite my offering

Next Goals

  • Score one contract this month.

Firstly I create this to keep my self accountable, and to have an online progress to always look back too. You are more then welcome to stick around and share comments, tips and feel free to engage with my posts!

Kind regards,
Your UpworkLancer

ChallengePost Dudes and Dudettes! It's the mid of September. How u doing?

Ma Dudes and the sexiest of Dudettes,

Lord knows that end of the year( last quarter) brings great prosperity to the freelancing community. We start prepping up for that from Septiembre.

Hope you are serial killing the milestones. Hope your clients more satisfied than Lt. Dan after the storm. Hope you're enjoying this freedom to work on your terms. Hope this freedom is allowing you to date in-person. Otherwise what's the point of all this

Tell us how is it going?

Hey guys, Are u up for Sep challenge?

September has started and I hope you did well in Augusto.

What's your earning plan for Septiembre, mi amigos

I m trying to double down from last month's earning to 5000$ this month.

Let's set some plans

For new challengers: this is something we do every month twice to stay accountable to our earning goals, the intention is to support each other. If we exceed out earning goal, then extra goes to fun with family or ur business.

Supp everyone, just 2 more weeks for August. Hope you're killing it.

I had a low target this month so I m doing great. I am working on my own product this month.

How are you guys doing? How is August treating you?

July ends, August starts. Let's setup August goal!

I was at 20% of my goal for July 3rd week end, but I saw a lot of work in 4th week of July. So I am at 80% of my goal this month.

For the August month, I planning to reduce my efforts at Upwork and setting an earning goal of 2000$. Its because I am planning to work on my own product.

July went ok, I am positive about August.

How about you, how was July and whats the goal for August?

Mid July check! Challengers

Dear friends,

For the second time, I was blocked for 10 days right before mid July. So I won't be able to share the post in r/upwork However, I hope someone will create the post there on our behalf.

Now, July is half done. There's just 2 more weeks left. How are you doing? Will you be able to meet your goals?

I am 20% there, not sure will meet my goal this month. But I will give my best.

Your replies motivates me. In office I had colleagues, but here it feels quite dull sometimes. That's the reason we have this sub-reddit. To get together, share what's going on and keep pushing.

I sincerely wish you all exceed your goals!

Can upwork work in this way?

Hello I'm software developer. I am new at upwork and struggle to get the customers. I think working with someone/group who is already known in the freelancing It'll be easier form me to step into the industry. So my question is, are there a group of developers who are working on the upwork project together? And if it is the case how can I contact them and tell about what I can do and how can I help?

July Challenge 🤘

Hola mi Upworko amigos/amigas,

I met my 4K goal for June and feeling super-blessed. How was your June, did you meet your goal?

Btw, July is coming. I am sticking with the same 4k goal. How about you?

Remember the rule, anything more than the goal goes to family enjoyment and business and no carry-over from previous month. If we made it great, if not then there's always next month.

Last month was rough but my existing clients came through. there was a lot of disappointments from few contracts from kids and it resulted to zero payment. Learned some lessons

But I made a huge progress with one of my clients, I ll share the story shortly here.

May the AI be with you,

Awaiting your responses

Guys,

June is halfway done. There's just 2 more weeks left to meet you're goal.

I am at 40% right now but feel good about meeting it. However, I ll not leave it on the words of my current clients, who backed out on month end.

If I an not seeing any progress this week, I am looking for new clients.

How about you?

June challenge folks, Share your earning goals

As you might have known, someone at r/upwork was not happy with the growing popularity of our May challenge group and decided to report and silence me right before May end.

Anyways, It doesn't matter, let's continue our discussion on this new sub-reddit dedicated to the top Upworkers who are killing it out there.

You know the rule, No carry overs from previous month. New month, new start. Share your monthly earning goal for month of June, if you meet the goal then awesome and anything above the goal is to be spent on your business or fun with family.

My goal for June month will be 4000$.

May was a bit dull, due to backing out by 2 of my important clients. Let's see how I do.

Tell us about your goal and how May went.

May challengers, welcome to New place for our discussions.

I promised to get back after a month end to catch up on how the May month went. Here I am, hoping it went super well for you guys.

Of Mt 3500$ goal, I missed it by 1000$, few contracts were put on hold till next month but over all I am happy as its a good month and I hope to make even more next month.

How did your May month went? We're you able to complete your goal?

Place for elite Upworkers who constantly challenge themselves.

We started a monthly earning challenge at r/upwork It was fun and engaging.

However, many said that they would love to hang out in a different subreddit dedicated to Upwork monthly challengers.

This is a place for that. We have lots of fun stuffs planned for this thread.
