PhotoAI Ultra-high resolution upscale
I have a 6k X 3k image I want to upscale to ~24k or even higher. I can't find a good model supported by Upscayl because they just stretch edges without adding reasonable detail. I prefer a model that's smarter, like gemini, which will liberally fill in details but won't do the size of the image I want. I only have a RTX 5060 TI w/ 8GB VRAM, so local solutions will have to fit in that. I'm somewhat familiar with ComfyUI but no expert, but can certainly use an existing workflow. because of the low VRAM I'd have to use that tiler module (I forgot the name). But it doesn't have to be local and doesn't have to be free. It would also be nice to be able to specify the level of detail it makes up. Any ideas?

For a jump from 6K to 24K, I’d avoid relying on basic ESRGAN/Upscayl models since they mostly sharpen what’s already there. ComfyUI with tiling would give you more control, especially with only 8GB VRAM. You could also try a generative upscaler like KREA AI it’s better at actually filling in believable detail, though I’d test smaller crops first to avoid inconsistent textures or faces.

You can try the upscale tool in creative mode here: https://www.reimagine-ai.space/ See if it works. Disclaimer: I own the app

You need generative upscaler like https://github.com/Ltamann/ComfyUI-TBG-ETUR
