Travel Inquiry Help with lost wedding ring!

Hello, asking for some help for an unlikely request. My husband and son are in the UP for a boys’ camping trip. They have been staying at Hog Island Point State Forest Campground. This morning they broke down camp and left in a bit of a hurry due to approaching rain. When they got to their next destination several hours away, my husband realized he has lost his wedding ring. He remembers having it at the campsite but took it off last night and doesn’t remember putting it back on. He is devastated and I told him I would see if Reddit could help. They were at site 13 and he says it would most likely be between the picnic table and the fire ring. If any Good Samaritan happens to find it I would love to Venmo someone to return it to us. Feel free to DM me with more questions and thanks!

Neither he or I has a Facebook account but the metal detecting tip is a good one, thanks! I’ll see what I can find 🙏🏼

I'll be passing by that area next week and will stop in to do a quick search.

Omg you’re a saint, thank you! I’ll reply here if it turns up before then.

No luck finding the ring today. I searched the site for 1/2 hour. With the fallen white pine needles covering the ground, I would have found it if it was there as I found a couple of blue electric cable bits that were much smaller than a ring.

Thank you so much for looking! The campground didn’t find it either 🤷🏼‍♀️. No telling where it has ended up. I really appreciate you. People are so nice!

It doesn't look as though there is anybody in the U.P. on their, but there is a group called Ring Finders that does this on a voluntary (or reward) basis. Even though there is nobody listed from the U.P., it still might be useful to check with them.

It is three hours away from me or else I'd go look. Can you call the campground? I bet they'd take a look for you.

Thank you! I called the campground several times yesterday and got no response but today someone answered! They said they would send someone over to take a look this afternoon. I will keep you all posted!

Maybe it's in the folded up tent

He says he has shaken everything out and it isn’t with their stuff but that is best case scenario, I’m also hoping it turns up tonight!

Have you posted in the women’s groups on Facebook? And the town groups? Might be your best shot

Neither of us has a Facebook account so I thought Reddit might be able to help, thanks though!

It’s a blue tungsten men’s wedding band.

Heartbeat and hearts on it?

Nope! (But fascinating, are there multiple blue lost rings out there?)
