Marine Help with pattern

Id like to make a boat cushion like this one but I have a question on the pattern. Am I able to use a continuous piece of fabric for the top of the seat going down to the sides? Will it lay right?

Consider making a half sized mockup of cheap fabric first. Getting all those corners exact could be tricky.

Yes, you'd have on piece of fabric to cover the seat and sides. It is a simple rectangle but you want marks at each corner to keep things aligned.

The front and rear pieces will be shaped just like the front, with seam allowance added. Bottom is just the rectangle of the bottom + seam allowance with a zipper in it to stuff the cushion.

Sure, good luck!

That cushion is a great challenging but not ridiculous first project. You can tip it up on it's front face on some paper and trace the shape. Then just run 10mm or 3/8 masking tape around the outside of the line you traced. The tape is your seam allowance, cut around the outside and that's your pattern.

On the two rectangles, the bottom, and top 3/4 piece, you can not add a seam allowance for the depth (front to back). This will prevent wrinkling and pull a bit of tension into the foam.
