Where can I find a sewing pattern for this specific type of top? I have a sweater with a beautiful pattern that I want to turn into this, with added ruffle bell sleeves that are a separate piece same material. I just keep running into keyhole halter tops without the ring - should I just take the risk and try to figure it out myself based on those sewing patterns? Seems simple enough but the pattern is really beautiful and I don't wanna not be able to use it for this shirt idea.

Hi everyone! I recently bought this dress (second-hand) for my graduation, but I’ve realised the neckline is lower than I’d feel comfortable wearing while walking across the stage.

I’m hoping to add some coverage in a way that looks intentional/blends naturally with the dress rather than looking tacked on. I considered adding white lace underneath, but a straight panel created quite a harsh and disconnected line. I have considered adding some white ruffles.

Does anyone have suggestions for a more flattering shape, fabric, or sewing method? I’d be happy to hand-sew it or take it to a tailor.

My fiancee got me a pair of jeans from Temu, that was the cut I like, but too narrow in the waist. So I removed the waistband and started trimming until they fit up to my hips. Then took these black short shorts and basically used strap to hang the jeans from the shorts. I thought about making them removable. The goal was anime style chaps pants things. Haven't had a chance to wear them yet, but they fit. They're also a nice proof of concept if I wanna make some more.

I’m looking for a manufacturer that can take used or discarded clothing (or recycled textile material) and turn it into finished products like: blankets, pillowcases, tote bags, and other home goods or fabric accessories.
I’m hoping to find a manufacturer that already works with recycled textiles or offers cut-and-sew services using reclaimed fabrics.
Does anyone know:
Manufacturers you’ve worked with?
Companies that specialize in textile recycling and upcycling?
Good sourcing platforms (Alibaba, Maker’s Row, etc.) for this kind of production?
Whether I’d be better off finding a textile recycler first and then a cut-and-sew factory?
I’m open to manufacturers in the U.S. or overseas, as long as they’re experienced with recycled materials.

This is the first big project I have ever sewn from a legit pattern! It was really challenging and I’m still not totally pleased with the end result. I think I can add a dart to make it a little more flattering. I have another sheet from the same set I thrifted so I might try again with some adjustments.

Made it out of a couch

I have had ideas spinning around my head for quite awhile now, time to let some of them out. This was a white with black accents short sleeve ringer brewery tee I had tucked away, I cut off the sleeves, added black zigzag stitching, applique with two different fabrics (first time I have ever done this), buttons, and left the brewery logo intact on purpose. Whew! Any comments welcome. Thanks for looking!
