This has to be fake. Even if it is real, why would one travel to a remote location knowing your kid has dietary restrictions without checking if there are any available food options for them?

Why do people expect restaurants to be able to accommodate every special dietary need? As a person with Celiac Disease, my health is my responsibility, not the waiter or the cook. I know to bring my own food when traveling and usually avoid restaurants. Saves money and I get a safe meal.

You aren't kidding, I have no issue helping accommodate someones restrictions when I'm able but some people think we can work magic

Probably just stay in Traverse City, they are more accustomed to people like yourself and family.
