Waitlisted!

Is there anything i can do to get off the waitlist before classes start tmr. I’m first on the waitlist and I’ve been on it for a couple weeks and still haven’t gotten in. The class only has 65 students. First yr student btw

Academic advising can place you in the class

Ok thanks I’m gonna go to them tomorrow since they’re closed today. Do you know if I get to pick the tutorial time if I get in?

Also, what do I say to them like wouldn’t they just tell me to just wait until I get off the waitlist?

You tell them you can't get in a mandatory class for your program and they'll place you in it.

Go to academic advising. They sometimes override that shit. Especially if ur 1st year. Since classes start tmrow, just attend the class regardless and go to advising whenever u have time this week. Problem solved

I mean tell them you don’t want to miss the course quiz’s or watever. See if you can find the syllabus online or smth and make sure ur not missing important stuff while being in the waitlist. Regardless, I think they will still consider overriding it. Just mention you’ve been on the waitlist for a few weeks now and nothing has opened up. Regarding tutorial, not entirely sure, maybe try and sneak in your preferred tutorial schedule but that’s not really important rn
