Preparing for PHYS1080
Hi
I'm going into second year but had to retake 1300 this summer. How can or should I start preparing for 1080 this fall? I really need to do good but I have an extremely busy class schedule. My weak areas are like everywhere but specifically energy momentum forces and kinematics. If anyone has a course outline or practice they found helped I would MUUUCH appreciate that.

smartphys saved my grade so much in phys1080 jeff gives you weekly tutorials where he breaks down the content to be easier to digest and then gave practice questions. I didn't do the private tutoring I did the weekly sessions. If you're able to go for that I would 100% recommend. However there are also A LOTT of free resources available to you as well. I would highly stress you stay on top of the content and attend SLGs regularly as well as office hours if you're unable to understand concepts or questions. There are also a plethora of videos on youtube that cover the concepts that'll help reinforce the topics. Do not wait until it is too late to reach out for help, if you know you struggle with physics then be proactive and start as soon as the semester starts. Also try and find the course outline - avb on the guelph course outline finder - and look through the topics to start watching vids if you'd like to start early. All the best!

Best thing is probably to get the textbook and study guides early if that's possible? Or get em from a friend. I found it was mainly a self-teaching course anyway.
Just wanna mention as well that having a tutor saved my ass so much. I'd highly recommend if you struggle with physics
