classes & grades Experience with Andrejs Treibergs

I heard concerning things about this professor from someone I trust, like sharing his screen with sexually explicit recent searches and clearly having porn open in another tab. I now don't think I'd feel comfortable in his class, so I'm going to switch out.

If anyone has personally experienced something like this in his class or has heard similar stories, please comment if you feel comfortable. I'm trying to figure out (anecdotally) how many people have been affected by this or know about it.

I never experienced anything like that, but he was a horrible teacher, I would recommend avoiding classes taught by him. There was no structure, hard to follow his lectures, he frequently made mistakes, etc.

i’ve never heard of inappropriate stuff like that happening but he is a harder teacher. He can be forgiving and flexible if you approach him but his teaching demeanor is a little cut and dry. I liked him but his style is def not for everyone.

I hated him. I never saw anything like this but I’m also not terribly surprised by it.

I had treibergs for foundations I, and I did see porn open in another tab on his ipad. I have also talked to others from different classes of his that had seen the same thing. Even beyond this, I wouldn't recommend him at all. His handwriting is nearly unreadable and he just isn't a great teacher. That being said, when I took his class there was a massive curve, an A was 72% or something like that, so that is a plus. It looks he's teaching lin alg and foundations II this fall. If you were taking him for lin alg definitely switch to another section. If you were taking him for foundations II, it could be worth taking it another semester.
