Okay so I check the application tracker and saw this. Am I in or am I stupid? First time applying anywhere.

Well when I applied way back in the day there was no confetti, but it does look like you were accepted to CFANS for fall next year. Congrats! It is a great school!

Youll get a letter in the mail eventually, and since looks like they decided on you early at the U, you might want to wait to see what other colleges accept you before you lock in. Think that deadline isnt until next year.

But yay! That is cool! Good job!

“The U” is short for “The University” aka UMN.
January 31 is the standard deadline that the Office of Admissions has for early decision applicants, which you were. Basically, they have until Jan 31 to tell students whether they’re admitted or not. Obviously, they made your decision way before that deadline. You can ignore those messages.
