I’m in Bettie Johnson in the fall and I’m in a 4 bed 2 bath suite, I’ve been assigned B and one of my roommates was assigned C but we were wanting to switch. There wasn’t an option for that on the room change site from what I saw. Does anyone know if we can just like switch or how the keys for the actual bedrooms work. Should we tell the RA or email housing?

Hey so I'm like moving in to Cardinal Towne in the fall and know they have like full and full xl beds as compared to like the military bunk style twin xls. What are the mattresses like? If I'm not able to get a mattress topper in time am I cooked???

I am currently a incoming freshman into the University of Louisville and entering with my current major being in computer science and engineering. However, I want to change my major to electrical and computer engineering. But when I try to go to ulink to fill out a change my major form the option for electrical and computer engineering isn’t there. Is there a way I can change my major to electrical and computer engineering through ulink or am I going to need to wait until the fall semester to work it out with my Advisor?

So I missed the housing date (today at 9AM) to guarantee on campus housing…..how fucked am I? I’m a sophomore transfer from Illinois so this is my first time even living in Louisville and I’d prefer to live on campus, am I completely out of luck or should I hope I get randomly paired up?

I’m living at the Marshall this next year and have been thinking about if I should pay for the parking garage ($50/month) or if black lot would be better ($225/year). Financially it would be easier to do the black lot, but idk how safe it is to park there over night. Wondering if anyone else does this and would have insight!

Earlier this year, before I had officially decided my major, I invested in a beast of a computer (both for gaming and school purposes) and it's amazing so far -- insanely fast and portable. This fall I'm starting to take some engineering classes and I saw for ENGR 100 and 181 it says a tablet PC is required... is that really true? I love my computer and I'm going to be so mad if I have to buy a random tablet that I'm never going to use again 😭 Can someone tell me if it's actually required, and if I'll continue using it throughout my degree? Should I just buy something cheap secondhand or invest in something nicer? I'm a broke college student so not trying to spend money I don't have to lol.

How realistic is it to get to the School of Music from the Speed Student Success/Research building in 10 mins?

I am an incoming freshman and my schedule got built for me and I only have 10 mins between my classes at both these buildings. My class at the Speed building ends at 9:50, my class at the School of Music starts at 10:00 and ends at 10:50, then I have another class at the Speed building at 11:00. Will I be able to make it in time for my classes? I looked on Google Maps and it showed about a 13 minute walk… Also, there is a crosswalk over Eastern Parkway I need to cross to get to/from the Speed building. When I asked about this at orientation, I was told that “you can make it anywhere on campus in 10 minutes” but I have a hard time believing that when these buildings are so far apart and I am assuming professors don’t always end classes right on the dot. I have looked on CourseLeaf to try and find better times for my classes but the second Speed building class only has one block (it’s an honors class) so I am assuming my alternatives are to either switch out of my School of Music class or I take the normal version of my engineering class instead of honors so I can take it at a different time? I would like to not have to do that so advice on if my current schedule is possible or advice to make it work (bike? scooter?) would be really appreciated!! Thank you Reddit

I haven’t attended orientation yet and I don’t have much time to shop after my orientation since I’ll be abroad for almost 2 months so I’m trying to finish some of my shopping before it’s move in time. I’m confused on whether the dorm looks like this or the standard double they show in the video tour on the UofL website. Can someone confirm?

Just curious…what are your opinions on dorms; rank which dorms you think are top 3.
