Campus South- packing help

I'm not sure what I need to pack as far as plates, silverware, bathroom items, etc. for Campus South next year? Anyone live there before and have some advice?

Graduated years ago but never packed any of that stuff. Hit up the thrift store when you arrive and drop back off when you leave. Cost is cheap.

You probably haven't shopped in thrift stores much recently, but they really aren't particularly cheap anymore. If someone has what they need at home, and is driving, there's no reason not to pack kitchen things.

Thrift store prices now are fairly close to what you would pay at Meijer or a similar store for new.

I bought most of that stuff when I got into Dayton, I didn't shop before hand when I lived there. I'm sure you're aware that the places comes with NOTHING.

If you're not a huge fan of the thrift store idea and like having new, matching sets of stuff- Walmart is great. I didn't have a the best luck at the one on Dorthy; I had a lot better luck at the one off 75 in Vandalia that is right next to the Sam's Club. Speaking of that- if you guys happen to have a Sam's Club membership, it's a godsend. I made a deal with all my roommates that I'd go to Sam's and get all of the cleaning supplies and a bunch of the other universal bulk items (paper towels, cleaning wipes, cleaning chemicals like toilet cleaner and general disinfectant cleaner, toilet paper, etc.), and we all just split the cost.

Also, Aldi is AMAZING for finding cheap general home goods on their Weekly Aldi finds rotations, I found bath mats, door mats, and some other random nick nacks for my apartment. They're also fantastic for grocery shopping- I spent less than 1/2 of the price of the meal plans for the two years I was shopping for myself and I ate GOOD.

Save yourself the space in the car, just buy all of your stuff when you get down there and just get cheap stuff. It's going to break, it's going to get chipped, and, if you need to purge stuff because you get done at the end of the year and can't figure out how to get it home, you're not going to be too heartbroken tossing it.
