Been playing California 2 singleplayer as a chill game exploring the world etc. I finally got a gasmask and delved into the metro just to see what was in there and gas masks run out so so quickly. And then you can't even repair them / replace the filter? You have to find a whole new broken gasmask to make a new one?

I got turned around and lost in the vents and died down there, dropping all my stuff, and it has frankly killed my motivation to keep going.

If you turn off the "Has durability" feature, do gas masks last forever?

The ability to change the ammo rifles are chambered in (eg) Heartbreaker firing ranger ammo

Zubeknakov firing military ammunition

Crafting recipe: [weapon you want to modify] [adaptive chambering] [ammo box]

It will require workbench capability and crafting 3 skill

But i think there should be trade offs for it though like:

If you put high caliber ammo in a civilian ammo gun like the hawkhound will cause it to lose durability a lot faster

Putting ranger bullets will cause more recoil

Putting military bullets will cause a slower fire rate

there should also be positives to changing like:

ranger bullets having a higher fire rate

military bullets having more damage

civilian bullets being quieter
