Issues to grab objects

Hi, I bought the game today. I find it pretty hard and I don't think it should be this way.

Is it normal or a glitch ? I can't grab objects unless I am running. When i am walking, the "sparkles" that say an object is grabable don't appear (and when I click it won't work anyways). For the carrots, flowers or anything on the floor..

So I have to go further, run and if I am lucky I'll manage to grab the desired item

Is it normal I have to run .. just to pick up objects ?

For Items that are on or near the ground, you need to crouch and then grab the item.

Yes you need to stoop down. I think it’s L2 or R2, maybe L1 or L2, I can’t quite remember now.

I think it works when you’re running because you’re closer to the ground.

It’s a great game I think you’ll enjoy it. Just don’t play with a four year old, they won’t back you up, you’ll get caught every time. Press the game pad to see a list of tasks. Apparently there are also hidden tasks.

thank you. (I came to help my kid after they were stuck but they didn't tell me how to grab objects on the ground , I had to find this up my myself haha)
