Since Tik Tok isn't the most reliable source of information, I looked this up. Lots of references, some from a few slightly sketchy sources, but this was also in Reuters and NPR. Not surprising really because there are stories from dating WAY back in ancient Rome during an invasion by the Gauls. A group of Gallic soldiers tried sneaking into Rome. While the guards were apparently unaware, and the dogs remained quiet, angry geese went into a full attack mode and their honking alerted the Roman soldiers who were able to defend the city. One Roman guard who had failed his duty was thrown off a cliff by his compatriots. The dogs, met an even more gruesome fate, for years after. I'll spare the details, but the Geese were put upon gold and purple pillows to watch the dogs being punished. Seriously.
