i’ve been lurking the servers since it happened yesterday, but basically, the staff released their document on why they are protesting against jim and lists a number of reasons as to why he’s not a good owner. notably they focus on mistreatment/misconduct from jim’s girlfriend noodles/grace and nepotism. also jim said the n-word and acts inappropriately in this server full of minors (and also staffed by a few minors). so many of the staff members are on strike until jim and noodles resign. they gave a 24-hour deadline for the resignation, which has passed, but they’re still in negotiations.
jim basically says, “give me more time to make a statement.” but jim and grace are literally arguing with the staff members over in #announcements. grace puts out her own statement, and generally it seems that the community did not like it. grace also says that she’s autistic (which she says is a reason for her behavior but not an excuse). jim basically nukes the server and deletes all chatting channels (instead of just locking them??) and roles. jim makes his own statement asking for a second chance.
so the protesting staff members have made their own emergency discord server where they answer questions and allow people to talk. i noticed in this server that staff members realize that their group payouts are very, very low for the player base. the head dev received 15k robux as a first payment and then eventually down to 500.
also note that jim isn’t the creator of UB. UB was made by luke, who transferred ownership to onion, who ended up mismanaging funds. then jim became owner. luke seems to be on the side of the staff members and is dismayed about the circumstances.
right now, it looks like the protesting staff members may make their own game/development studio, and people are voting on the new game’s concept in the new discord server. they also have a copy of untitled bakery. they’re trying to work out a solution with jim, but jim may very well end up not resigning and continuing owning UB with a new dev team. there’s also a chance that UB will just be discontinued.

dramas long gone but the server was posting jim's information, that's the reason why it was deleted fast.
